Just wanted to say that I read your blog quite frequently and I'm always amazed at some of the stuff people post here. But keep up the good work, it's always interesting.
See ya,

I live in Pikoiloa, Kaneohe, Oahu where there are way too many chickens and roosters! They keep us up at all hours, they live under our house, and they are always in our yard. New chicks seem to be born every couple of weeks which means only one thing: more future blood curdling screaming roosters! One of my neighbors has a low-tech chicken trap and has caught a few of them - another neighbor is currently installing foundation screening to keep the chickens from breeding under their house. My husband and I have decided to get serious and buy one of these traps to see if we can decrease the population. If the trap works well, we'll share it with our neighbors! Wish us luck!

I live in Holualoa on the Big Island and haven't slept more then an hour at a time in months. New neighbor thought it would be great to have chickens and has an open coup up next to my place. Not near theirs of course. Now all of the wild clans are here too. They roost in the trees at night. I've been lucky to grab a few right out of the trees at night. I take them down to an area we call the end of the world in Kona. Can't keep up. New ones show up daily. Thanks for making this better known! Too bad there weren't traps for the morons blaring the loud car stereos at night :-)
